Always liked him, would be an upgrade on what we have. Even though I think Wayne is OK, I would be happier with Vorm in between the sticks.

One year left on his contract and a report today says he is an admirer of our new manager.

He's got to want regular first team football.

Sorry if there is already a thread on this that I missed.

3 years ago would say yes but now prefer a younger choice like m.perin (genoa) , A.Lopes (Lyon) .

I think at 33, he's probably at his peak as a goalkeeper. Must be good for a few years yet..

He's played 10 games in 3 years. If he was that good he'd be in the holland squad. Was great for Swansea but that was 3 years ago.
To go for wales number 1 or France number 2. To someone who doesn't make the Dutch squad. Erm no thanks.

Fair enough but the reason he's not in the Dutch Squad is because he hasn't played. He was always a good keeper.

I think that if we do need a keeper, he would be a good choice for not too much cash and would do a good job for us.

Surely it's not such a bad a bad idea.

What I'm trying to say is we currently got 2 goalies, who went to the euros last season. For me getting vorm , will be underwhelming.

Sorry, not At 33yrs old, I would be happier with Speroni in between the sticks if we do GET that desperate. Which IMHO I dont think we are.

We have an excellent Wales's No1 and also Frances EX-No2 (admitedly needs help). Both of who just need more solid players in front of them THAT DONT MAKE MISTAKES at Premiership Level for 180+ mins or 2 matches a week.

Vorm is certainly good at distribution with his feet and has a good record of saving penalties.

It was Brendan Rodgers who signed him for Swansea from FC Utrecht and Mauricio Pochettino signed him for Tottenham.

On your rationale Begovic has hardly played in 2 years as well, but a lot of people wanted him here. Mandanda is not the French No 2 anymore.

If vorm wasn't Dutch would you even consider him. Lazy journalism linking us to Dutch players. My friend supports Tottenham and said he reactions are slow. We want better than what we got and I don't think vorm would be. There's some great goalkeepers in seria A - perin (genoa), Pepe Reina (Napoli), szcenzy (Roma)

I don't know how good he is, but Rodgers and Pochettino are no mugs so I'd assume he's decent. One year left and not getting game time. World Cup coming up. I'd say he's like love the chance to play first team football under the spot light of the Dutch media who will no doubt now keep tabs on Palace.

Really think this deal will get done unless Levy wants to be awkward!
