The truth above in a few words, FdB has said he needs several new players, The only additions to those mentioned above for me would be a good passing defensive midfielder and a quality RB, as the squad stands it is very lightweight at the back and we will struggle unless SP gets a move on with the cheque book!

Now I'm sure Den used "cheque book" metaphorically here, but the demise of that mode of payment makes me wonder what today's equivalent of the aforementioned exhortation should be.

Maybe reality has hit home to FDB that we are not Ajax or Inter Milan and that maybe he has taken on a tougher job than expected. Let me stress, I don't know this for sure just pure speculation. FDB's appointment was announced in a fanfare and immediately we were linked with the likes of Van Persie,Veltman etc.All we have got so far is a 'Fringe' player on 'Loan' from Chelsea ! I see Stoke have secured the signing of Zouma on 'Loan', Swansea have signed Abrahams, Mesa etc, WBA have brought in Rodriguez, Hegazi etc. But hopefully we will get Riedewald quite soon.
