We certainly need another CB. He's maybe good for another couple of years at 31, and has plenty of PL experience, wont cost loads of dosh. But I do hope we dont give up on Sakho

If we sign vermaelen would mean sakho ain't coming we ain't going to pay 30million for sakho when there's cheaper options out there

Vermaelen has filled in at left-back for both Belgium and Arsenal.Didn't have that blistering pace when he was at Arsenal and perhaps the advancement of years since then has slowed him down.Seen him take free kicks over a wall.

Just informing all and sundry that a player also has this in his 'Locker'.

`the key point for me is that he was never super quick and is obviously slowing now and not good enough now for the Arsenal or Barca first teams. I think if he didnt cost too much he could cover a back up slot ahead of Delaney, but would worry if he was a starting CB at Palace

havnt seen much of him since he left arsenal but based on what we saw in an arsenal & belguim shirt he would head & shoulders be our no1 CB.

feel wages would be a stumbling point, we cant keep on sinking 100k+ a week on players its not a sustainable model unless theres a resale value
