Well he is basically ousted at Ajax and never held a regular place. So have to warn anyone thinking he'll come straight in the team and shine in central defense (can also play on the left and occasionally has played as a holding midfielder).

He is really. Supposed to be a real talent but never really made it at Ajax. He scored a brace when making his debut to convert a 1-0 down to a 2-1 win, may have done himself no favors in doing so as expectancy levels hit through the roof as so often happens with young talents. Hard shown nothing at all imo to prove he is PL level. Originally posted by Petereagle

Cant really expect a 20 year old to walk into a premier league first XI, but FbD gave him his debut, and I'm sure knows what he can do. Not the most reliable source you could find over here but nothing as random as the Tabloids. Their football staff is know for their big network and playing "political" games occasionally but not sure that would extent to giving agents a helping hand in creating rumors. As I genuinely believe this is the main cause for all the BS that gets poured over us on a daily base. And yes, quality back up is good and needed agreed. Our squad is thin. Exactly the type of player we should be after and very well regarded. Huge potential to bolster our options in defence and someone who can play out from the back. Still would be surprised if we actually got him as he's been linked with big clubs over the years.

Frustrating as it is im sure fdb will bring in what we need. I have more fiath in him than any of our other recent previous managers to buy the right players. Ignoring the loan of sakho and the purchase of tompkins weve been pretty poor in the market.
