With frank indicating that 3-4-3,is the best way to get the most of our squad. There was a lot of questions, when ox and Moses demployed this role for Arsenal and Chelsea. Can Townsend be successful wingback or are we wasting his talents ?

Interested to see what other hol's think ?

No and yes, we're wasting his talents.

No tried this against Man City and backfired within 5 minutes before changing formation.

Do you reckon we need 2 wingbacks then because Ward hasn't got it in him to be a wingback.

I really don't know. If you'd asked the same about Moses 12 months ago I'd have said no but it seems some players can adapt with the right coaching.

It is possible that the answers to your questions are yes and yes - maybe he could but it wouldn't be best use of his talents.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

Yes I immediately thought of this.

Also against Liverpool I recall a situation when one of their players cut in from the left and Townsend basically let him go and never tracked him to make a challenge.

He doesn't look comfortable in this role but perhaps De Boer and his staff will be able to improve him in this area.Personally I prefer to see him further up the pitch.

Perhaps De Boer will try out his 4-3-3 today v WBA perhaps not for the full game ?

What about Chungy or McArthur could either of them be converted, they both have good energy?

Lee is as bad a defensive premier league player I have ever seen. He has his qualities but surely not defensively!
