That's not one guy; 20th is the average of the final standings for Brighton.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

Hopefully with 13 or less points.

I'll be lambasted for this, but if they finished the season on a paltry 6 points I'd not care too much if they got them all against us. That said, I'd rather they got them all from Liverpool.

Of course I strongly dislike the Weed but I think Hughton is a good manager and we may well see them survive, albeit in 17th. Their team looks poor for the Premier League admittedly but then again so did Burnley's (although, saying that, most of Burnley's team had played in the PL only two seasons before).

I think Huddersfield might struggle, but Newcastle should be solid, with both a decent squad and an excellent manager.

Reading the write-up, it does look like they're relying on the old hands who got them out of the Championship which, as we know, is a risky proposition. I think the key for them will be how much they can spend in January and what they can get for it.

I agreed re their promotion compatriots. If Huddersfield struggle, the Weed need only two other teams to s*** the bed in order to survive. Swansea are a possibility - especially if they lose Sigurdsson - maybe Burnley and (fingers crossed) West Brom are too. I have faith in us but, at this stage, we are a bit of a wild card.

Can't see that in a month of Sundays

Haven't every team he's managed in the EPL been relegated?

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

Pre season predictors - meh!

Every season the 3 relegated teams will top the champ. NEVER happens. And the 3 promoted teams are relegated, usually with the one who came up via the P.O. coming in last. Again, lazy space filling that ignores any historic experience.

The only relatively safe bet - save the rare anomaly - are the 6 teams occupying the top (although not their order).

Wishful thinking on my part, maybe. With Pulis at the helm and their disgusting hixstory of thuggery on the field - going back to Dawson's assault on Speroni and continuing at the Asia Cup - I'd love to see them drop.

Also, I think that the Pulis game plan has to fail at some point.

They don't look they have any goals in team, most seaweeds I know are getting worried about the lack of decent signings. A spanking from Manchester City could set the trend for their season.

Has anyone accused the Guardian of homophobia yet?

At the risk of being extremely unpopular here, as I see it Brighton are a good club, with a very competent PL experienced manager, and a brilliant newish stadium. They play good attacking football. Sure, they are one of the favorites for relegation, but I hope they stay up.
