If Benteke hobbled off (I bloody hope not) think Backary Sako would be the most effective as a striker. Think we get a striker on deadline day. My guess is Aruna Kone.

Strikers don't just sit on the bench in case Benteke is injured as sometimes the manager will want to change the style of play midway through a game. Wickham is injured and neither of the other two set the lower leagues alight so what makes you think they would get into a Premiership team

I agree. Fdb looks like he's tried getting one of three gk in and none materialised. Hennessey is good enough to keep us up. Not much more perhaps. This is a season of transition. Perhaps January or next summer that position will be improved upon. All the above of course.. Is just my opinion

Like I said, Wickham is not fit, and the other two are nowhere near close to being first team strikers. So my point stands. We have one fit first team striker, last season we had 4 at times and at the worst 2/3 available. This is a huge issue.

It worries me that Benteke will be isolated when our wingers are closed down. We need someone to drive through midfield an I can't see Puncheon or Loftus-Cheek doing this. We need a player like Perez.
