Why play a system that you don't have the players for, why are we attempting this new system, if we go toe to toe with the top 6 teams they will destroy us, last season BFS adapted a system to the players we have got..... it all feels like disaster awaits us.

I also said elsewhere I think the players we have are ready and able to play the system. With my only concern being how exposed Andros will be.

I didn't dispense the back line. One has already been bought and we are heavily linked to a RCB and everyone would like Sakho.

Have to be honest after watching our pre season games I am really not sure what way this season is going to pan out. Yes the way we keep possession looks improved but I have to say that yesterday we created very few clear cut chances. I worry about Puncheon, gives the ball away far to often in crucial areas of the park and just does not move the ball quick enough. Luka is solid but needs to be played to his strengths, midfield! Townsend another player being asked to play a roll he is not comfortable with. Thought Loftus looked very good, hope him and Cabaye get the opportunity to play together. Just hope we dont sell Cabaye. Definitely need to hit the floor running next week but worry that Huddersfield will end up being a banana skin. Curly eagles dad, 45 years of Palace. Yes the way we keep possession looks improved but I have to say that yesterday we created very few clear cut chances. I worry about Puncheon, gives the ball away far to often in crucial areas of the park and just does not move the ball quick enough. Luka is solid but needs to be played to his strengths, midfield! Thought Loftus looked very good, hope him and Cabaye get the opportunity to play together. Just hope we dont sell Cabaye.

Benteke and Zaha struggle controlling passes to them and laying it off. Also those in the back 3 struggled at times with passing to those in front of them. These players aren't top 6 material where those teams have the quality to not give the ball away anywhere near as much. There is a reason why teams like us are successful under Alardyce and Pullis. As I've mentioned in other posts I hope I'm wrong about this change in playing style but all I see is the same problems we had under Pardew upto his replacement coming in?

It wasn't just Puncheon giving the ball away yesterday or the other matches recently. The whole team were doing it at different times. I think Puncheon is the scapegoat with the Palace fans.
