as far as I can tell, Everyone appears to be in support of changing the transfer window so it closes before the start of the Season. However, those that make the rules are seemingly unwilling to change it - why?

It's decided by each league. Even if ours was closed before the start of the season clubs from abroad would still be able to try and buy players at English clubs, so long as their own league's window is still open at the time.

Be nice to know what your squad would be before the start of the season. Plays havoc with my fantasy team.

It may be decided by each league - but I do not understand the reason that each league has decided to close it at the end of august and not before The season starts.

I believe there is broad agreement amongst PL clubs to shut the 'Window' at the start of the season.However if top European countries still have their 'Window' open they could still purchase players from PL clubs.

I've never been convinced by the need for a window. Or rather for two windows.
