I and a few others on here warned everyone about the change in tatics and that you need to have quality players for it to work. We are at our best under the likes of Big Sam or Pullis type management. We just aren't good enough and it's only Huddersfield. I despair at why a change in playing style is required for a team like us. It went pear shaped when Pardew tried it and it will again? As I've said before, I hope I'm wrong :-(

Ward isn't quick or good enough for RWB, Puncheon isn't good enough in the centre. Dann needs to be leading the youngsters either side of him, apart from that we are not far off players that can play the system, Huddersfield will tire 2nd half.

Appalling half. Ward can't handle this system and we only have one attacking option which Huddersfield have nullified by ganging up on Wilf. Dreadful.

Looks like FDB already talking to Townsend as they left the pitch, imagine it's likely we see him on shortly, probably down the right in place of Ward as he has been in pre season games.

It does take time to adjust to any new system, but as Allardyce realised when he attempted 3 at the back last season, you need capable players. Either we need to spend more money than we're apparently willing to, or we need to revert to the counterattacking 4-5-1. Huddersfield imposing themselves as if they were the experienced PL side. A bit embarrassing. Ward off for Townsend at HT is a MUST.

Why single out Ward, twice covered when the rest had stopped and saved a sure goal. All the defence have been woeful so far, it's just that Mooey who is there most dangerous player, has focused his efforts down the right.
