My ratings for today:

Hennessey: 4- Not really at fault for the goals but looked shaky at corners and is terrible with his feet.
Fosu-Mensah: 6- Made one phenomenal tackle to deny a 1-on-1 and looked reasonable although distribution was poor.
Dann: 4- Didn't look comfortable in possession, not suited to 3 at the back at all.
Riedewald: 5- Not great defensively, especially at corners but showed glimmers of quality, hopefully will get better.
Ward: 3- Dreadful. Not pacey enough to play RWB. Didn't seem to get forward or back in time, stuck around the halfway line as Huddersfield got in behind again and again.
Milivojevic: 5- Uncharacteristically quiet performance, struggled to get 'stuck in' like he usually does but was perhaps unfairly subbed at HT.
Puncheon: 3- Ineffective and slow. Difficult to see what he actually adds to the team beyond the captaincy. Set-pieces especially woeful.
Van Aanholt: 5- Looks far more capable of playing wing back than Ward and did manage to get forward a few times, but wasn't particularly threatening. Set pieces also poor.
Loftus-Cheek: 7 (MOTM)- Best player in Red and Blue by far, looks more composed in possession than the rest, especially in the second half when playing CM.
Benteke: 4- Isolated for most of the game and failed to really make an impact. Nearly scored a header but for a brilliant save, but was ultimately wasteful witht the few opportunities he got.
Zaha: 6- Offered some creativity and had a few good moments, although was marked heavily and missed a great opportunity when through on goal. Whole team now starting to rely on him to make things happen.

Subs:

Townsend (on for Milivojevic): 6- looked lively and desperate to make an impact, but struggled to find space.
Tomkins (on for Fosu-Mensah): 4- Came on and was immediately at fault for the third goal, didn't make much of an impression otherwise.

3 for Puncheon is generous.

I agree with some of these. I can also now give my opinion given that someone has helped me recognise which of the new players I thought was dogsh*t!

Going:

Hennessey 4
Fosu Mensah 6
Dann 4
Riedewald 3
Ward 4 - didn't he also prevent a certain goal? Did a lot of crap stuff too though and apparently the first goal was his OG!
Milovojevic 5
Puncheon 4
Van Aanholt 4 (marking him down for those corners)
Loftus-Cheek 6
Benteke 4
Zaha 4 (although largely due to the marking on him, but he looked flimsy)

Townsend 6 - he did as some spark to an almost spent bonfire
Tomkins - I couldn't tell you. I didn't really see him do anything except run onto the pitch. I thought it was a pitch invader.

I must say he doesn't look much like a footballer...

I gave him 4.

To be honest, I've seen him play worse and because the whole team was poo he didn't stand out as much this time.

It's been said and said until everyone is red and blue in the face. JP has had his season in the sun, he is now no longer good enough for our team, amazingly.

He looks like he could win a "beautiful glossy hair" award but a player needs more to their game than shiny hair.

I'm being unfair, he's had some decent games in the past. I'm pretty sure he was better than Riedewald today as well. I'd take an uneventful performance over that Subbuteo game Riedewald was playing with Hennessey.

Our best 2 players were the 2 loanees - says it all really

Dann isn't good enough in a 3 - pay the money and get Sakho ASAP

He'd be a fantastic second choice for his position. That's my analysis.

I'd not just get Sakho but ditch the idea of 3-4-3 until we have better options than Ward and Puncheon for their positions. Ward is out of position, Puncheon is out of his depth.

I also thought it was Ward that made the best tackle of the 1st half at least. Stopped a one on one situation it was a fantastic tackle.

Very disappointed today with the performance as much as the result. Wilf was marked out of the game first half, there was no obvious plan B.

Huddersfield just wanted the points so much more than us and that is hard to take.

The fans won't accept another performance like that against Swansea. Things will get ugly - F**k style give us results.
