From what I have read on here the vast majority of us are in the "let's give him a chance" group. He hasn't finished shaping the squad yet but has shown adaptability and a willingness to change the system if necessary.

The reason that people are mildly abusive as you put it is partly because you refer to the club's manager in that fashion and secondly rather than just giving people your opinion you are trying to beat them over the head with your opinions on every available opportunity

Back off now and leave it until the final whistle on Saturday

Ill take your advice ,
Although the majority doesn't exist , I would say its 50/50
And yes I have an opinion ,its strong , through years of being in the game
Im not the only one, every pundit and ex pro worth his salt think that FDB is a joke
But Ill wait until we draw or get beat against Swansea to voice another opinion

Glad you moved out of Croydon to Sydenham. Our public image is bad enough already.

There is a major difference between thinking FDB might fail and hoping he well. I actually think you hope he does. What is your problem oh one dimensional very experienced on the game person? You take other opinions and escalate them. No pundit would say he is a joke, quote one please. You are deluded and biased and frankly a bit of a bully and most certainly a repetitive pain in the arse, in my humble opinion. All the best.

Most certainly not European.

I don't hope he will fail
I just think its incredibly naive to set up against teams in a style that the team
A ) cannot play in
B ) do not understand

This is the premier league , not the Sunday League , you don't have time to drop points ~

Seems someone else has the same view

I understand your frustration, especially given the terrible result at home against Huddersfield. But I really think you are speaking in absolutes, predicting the future without actually knowing what it is.

When Sam first came in last season, we had a string of very poor results. I happened to be in the camp that we should let it play out because Sam was vastly experienced but I will admit that at times, I worried about what was happening. I did not blame those who voiced their concern when things weren't going so well. In the end, it all worked out.

Isn't this situation with FdB pretty much the same thing? We have barely started the season. Why not take a breath and see what happens. It would be the height of arrogance to say that you know what will happen without a shadow of doubt.

If you do know, by the way, can you also let us know the lottery numbers for next week?

Where's the proof of this? Or are you just spouting hyperbole as I suspect?

Small minded people often come out with stuff like this, like Shearer rushing to say the "R" word on the 1st episode of MOTD, just so they can say "I told you so" and justify their salaries to the hordes of watching lemmings, never admitting they were wrong.

I'm sure loads of so-called experts would love FdB to fail so they can harp on about "The Premier League being the best league in the World, and so hard to win a point...who does this guy think he is coming to our League, trying to make British teams play better football...what we need is more hoof and hope British managers setting up teams for 0-0 Away or 1-0 at home, who have never achieved anything themselves on a football field, let alone played next to anyone of note"

Ok, it's rare for a great footballer to become a great manager, but not impossible. Slow minded people lap it up and will repeat this like it's gospel.

Proof in point being 'sayings' like Dowie's "Touch-Tight", where the moment he says it, you hear every other pundit and their agent using it over and over again. Most of them don't have a brain cell between them, and come out with the same tired old cliches.

So, who's said FdB is a joke then?

Im tired of explaining that you cannot compare a novice Premier League manager as FDB to a Premier League master such as Big Sam
Sam had a simple plan , defend resolutely , do not concede , get a point and hope for 3 ~
This clown has got players running all over the place , out of position and not supporting the forward players when we break
Let me guess , you probably thought that Glen Murray and Dwight Gayle were Premiership quality too

There is a big difference between being a competent manager and master. Sam was nowhere near a master, like Pulis he is great at setting up hard to beat teams that stay up, that's it. No plan to beat teams, the vision is play for the draw and if you go 1 up hold on. Hardly masterful or forward thinking. FDB has his ideas and vision, yes he may be inexperienced as a Premier league manager but then so was Sam once. Under Sam we got a good few battering's playing 'our' way. If anything, the Huddersfield result was as much down to the players underestimating the opponents as the tactics themselves. We've done it for years, games we should win we lose, not down to tactics but lacklustre effort and that's something I don't think De Boer will tolerate.

Pardew failed due to his poor fitness regime and pally attitude combined with no real knowledge of the formation and how to impliment it. De Boer sure as s*** knows how to impliment the formation and by all accounts is far more professional than Pardew. Time will tell but that's what he needs, then we will see the so called facts.

The comment made by one or two that de Boer is inexperienced in the Premier League is a bit daft seeing as the League was won last season by a team with a so called inexperienced Premier League Manager with third and fourth places taken by another pair of inexperienced Premiership managers.

Of the top four only Spurs didn't have a Premiership virgin as he had a whole year's experience with Southampton.

It might actually be said that foreign managers with no previous experience of our league have a better chance than others

I have used this exact argument a few times with those who raised the point of FDB having no PL experience, indeed I think I have mentioned this exact point on HOL.

Every poster on HOL has no Premier managerial experience or anything near it. That doesn't stop many believing they can do a better job.
Its quite amusing they think they know what formation and style we should play from watching a game, never taken a training session with the players.

So it's not JUST Wilf being targeted.

The "Cheekster's" been taken out more than any other player.

Ok , Ill have a lil friendly bet with you
Palace will be FDB first and last Premier league Job
And it wont last that long
FDB couldnt tie Pulis, Sams or even Neil Warnocks laces when it comes to managing an English team !
