Isn't that a rather childish attitude and does it really matter if you feel comfortable with the appointment or not as he is not the club's chairman or manager but Steve Parish has appointed Freedman to assist him and he should be allowed to choose whoever he trusts to advise him

As has been said before Freedman recruited the likes of Murray, Jedinak, Bolasie, Delaney and Ward for a relative pittance who formed the core of the side that kept us in the Prem for the first two seasons. There will always be signings that don't work with any manager but clearly knows a player and only he and SP / 2010 really know what went on. As regards chasing money he probably missed out on the really big bucks as a player.

DF is Palace through & through but there's nothing wrong with ambition. Just listened to the interview he gave from May 2016 & there's no doubting his love for this club but he's quick to admit the Bolton move was a rash decision which he regretted pretty much immediately, many promises were made in order for him to jump ship & the promises never materialised. If DF is able to find the quality of players we know he's sourced in the past that can only be a good thing. I'd take DF over Dowie or Bruce anyday.

Many football fans are a fickle ,passionate, emotive and sometimes volatile bunch. We have to trust and back the owners on their appointments as we'll never be privy to the business details. Like many I had mixed feelings towards Dougie and was somewhat confused with this appointment. Listening to this has helped me understand a little more about the man and would recommend it to anyone feeling the same.

Glad SP and DF have put their differences behind them. They're both a little older and wiser, they've done a few years in football management/chairmanship, and it looks like they're both willing to put ego to one side which is encouraging. DF's recruitment was very effective. Excited to see him back and hopefully he'll have the chance to re-establish himself as a legend again. Edited by Mr Fenandes (22 Aug 2017 12.35pm)

But it should be noted it's because of promotion and their performance in the prem. Now we are prem the seller price increases as soon as we make contact with selling club. But Mutch and Sako in particular have been a waste and Lee no better. Made me laugh when vs Sunderland we needed a fresh pair of legs on the left and instead of bringing on a fit Lee, Pardew brings on the unfit Sako lump. We concede from his side and draw. He continues to pick Sako. What a pr1ck. 3 wastes in a squad when we could pay 2. Then there's the loan debacles. Freedman is a good judge of British Isles talent.

He f***ed up, it's as simple as that but at the end of the day he created some of the most memorable moments I can remember as a Palace fan and that definitely includes when he was a manager. The run of games prior to Holloway, palace were playing with a real identity, you could see the potential of how far the group could go as a team. I'm still of the firm belief that we owe probably more than we realise to him for the position we currently find ourselves in. Whether he admits it or not, he would've known he messed up and he got his just deserts in the less than impressive managerial career he's had since going to Bolton. Continuing a grudge is a Palace fans right, but for me it just seems pointless, especially when it's quite clear he loves the club himself.
