Not too often I post....been a Palace supporter for 50 years...so been through all the ups and downs in that time. However, surely it makes sense to just give Frank a chance to succeed and prove his system can work. After 10-12 games you would hope that his team would be settled and his system imbedded. If after this time we have not won a game and things are looking gloomy - then we need to act. I guess all I'm really saying is that we have to continue to support the team and just get behind everything the management are trying to achieve.

I agree with the general thrust of these sentiments.
I am also a long-time supporter, having supported the club since the 60s !

With respect we were being linked with players even before Freedman was appointed.
It's not as if the club were doing nothing about trying to bolster the squad.

Besides, who knows what role Freedman have with transfers ? Supporters have no idea as to his 'Terms of reference'.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I have 3 season tickets and have been a season ticket holder for the vast majority of the last 45 years. I do not like what I see on the pitch so far this season (and pre season). I don't care too much for the permanent signing we have made so far this summer. I like the 2 loan signings and hope we have buy options at the end of their loans. It is early days, but the initial post on this thread pretty much sums up my views, Sakho is by far and away the best defender that has played for Palace in many a year (if not the best defender I have ever seen play for the club). We should have bitten the bullet and paid the price. Instead we buy Reidewald for the best part of 10 mil and maybe Wimmer for 15 mil. Neither is the finished article and neither may make the grade. Sakho proved his class last season. We have made a big mistake.

We have already bought ridewald who has huge potential for 8m. That's 2 very good signings, for 23m with 7m left to buy another player, fir what we would have to pay for sakho. Pitting all your eggs in one basket is nit always the best thing to do. We could buy sakho and he could get injured first game. £30m is just too much.
