Can't believe how fickle some Palace fans are... We're in our 5th prem season...after a successful promotion campaign...

FDB was is a bit of a punt from Parish... But at the START of a season why the hell not?

However system clearly doesn't work with the squad we have...so we'll go back to what we know with a solid prem manager hopefully... Love to be proved wrong but I reckon fdb has 3 games left

Hopkin looks to curl one!

Why are we forever blaming the Manager, Over the last 5 years we have had so many managers, Surely they can't all become siht when they come to us, The common denominator in all this is Clearly STEVE PARISH and hit total mis running our Club, We are indebted to the guy, But surely the club must come first

Don't knock Parish too much. He's made some mistakes but he has also saved the club from going under and taken us further than any other chairman.

Yes but that is in the past it is the future that should concern us now and on current performances we are heading back rapidly to the championship and with that we lose all the revenue that comes with being in PL. SP has to responsible for the in and outs of managers over the last 5 seasons and with that comes the awful record of 26 wins from 78 PL homes games. He dabbles far to much in football matters when his attributes are business management. The lack of investment in the team to date after last years performance is a bad business decision and if not corrected will lead to a huge revenue loss come next May!

Lost our identity, oh please how f***ing precious are we?
It's not a problem changing your approach, ask Arsenal, Southampton, Swansea etc, many have changed over the years. Problem is trying to do it in 4 pre season games with the same squad as last season. It has to be gradual with a few new faces already familiar with said style. I have no problem not being associated with kick and run, park the bus football, but I have a problem with changing in a half arsed fashion which will inevitably end in disaster.
FdB needs the players and SP has to provide them or all our hard work will have been in vain. What both men are thinking is beyond me, cos we all know this squad can't be changed that drastically in such a short space of time.
Parish wants a more attractive team and for that I don't blame him, but you have to fully commit or it's pointless (as we currently are).
Oh yeah one last thing. Losing yesterday didn't relegate us, just as winning wouldn't have kept us up. Still a long way to go.

So what? He saved the club and he should be thanked for that but how long do we have that mindset for?

If someone saved your life how long do you give the person who saved you before you grow tired of them taking liberties with your wife, driving your car, drinking your beer before you say "Thanks for what you did but you need to buck your ideas up, pal!"

Parish saved the club,fact.
He is also responsible for FDB appointment which was questioned by many pundits, who sadly, have been proven correct.
Question remains, how do we get out of this mess immediately, take stock and play to our strengths.
Getting Sam back or similar,a manager who understands the Premiership would be a step in the right direction.
To think, it took SP some 6 weeks to make the wrong appointment for the club.

i think parish & fdb are getting a rough ride on here.

with zaha injured we have diddily squat, hes almost outgrown the club in his talent and we quite rightly have a dependancy on him to carry us.

We had the same last season even under SA we had lost our identity then we won a few games and all of a sudden we were back to the old Palace lol. We are a small club with no right to win or sign £30m players if FDB can keep us up get us playing better football with a set style and give youth a chance then great he needs time and support from SP and us fans.

Cast your minds back when last December, when big Sam was appointed and the words that Steve parish used was the player need a system their comfortable in and it's time to turn back the dial. My question is did he see Dann, Kelly and others struggle to adapt to a possession based game under pardew. Our DNA has always been hard to beat, good counter attacking side. When you appoint a manager that been schooled in the academy of Ajax and Barcelona, what style did you think we are gonna play. Unless there's a considerable budget, should appoint a 40 pts manager and not gamble with our prem status.

Is parish to blame for our lack of identity?

1. In answer to your question No. As Chairman he makes decisions that are for the good of our club, right or wrong. Try picking out the good ones.
2. I would be very concerned if SP left, hopefully you and other detractors of his agree?

And why after 3 games is it the wrong appointment?

SP didn't just pick his nose for 6 weeks, so on that basis I will for now stick with his Judgment and review it further down the line!
