Adding to my previous post, I'd actually like the look of Zoet and by all accounts he's relatively cheap. So potentially IF Newcastle offer decent wedge and Woodman then we could afford Zoet plus another keeper. Ok probably daydreaming thinking we'd end up with four stoppers so more likely Zoet Which I'd say depth wise is better than what we currently have but probably not as good as keeping Wayne and buying Zoet, although we'd have cash left to spend elsewhere.

The football insider verdict at the bottom of the article is spot-on.. One thing that was planing obvious that Newcastle were going to do this summer was panic buy – and a swoop for Hennessey would confirm that. Benitez has wasted a lot of time pursuing a goalkeeper this summer, mainly because he doesn’t really need one. Elliot, Krul and Darlow are all good options, as well as youngster Freddie Woodman. You can also make a case for all four of them actually being better than Hennessey, who is way out of his depth in the Premier League and is a large part of why the Eagles have shipped six goals in their first three league fixtures. This is an absolute no-go for the Tynesiders, who should focus on getting in a new striker above everything else.

I just find WH so indecisive. In my opinion he was just as much to blame as Kelly for the 2nd on Saturday. He came out, hesitated for a second then started again and by that time it was to late... He's 6'5 for f***s sakes... he should of come sprinting out, taken the ball and put Ayew into row Z.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |
