Sky just reported that the bid may be favorable as it is a cash deal. That it is likely up to the player if he wants to move

Player asking for time - half way though deadline day!

But hopefully this is just back up for Sakho

Given the shambolic mistakes we've seen our defenders make this season, I'd argue we need him as well as Sakho.

Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune)

Knee jerk - we have signed some great players in the last few years.

I would actually rather get Mangala - very good player - bad time of it at City but before that very highly regarded and in the French squad.

Problem with Sakho is his injury record - if he stayed fit, would have sakho over anyone, but overall I think Mangala would be a better signing.

He was terrible at Valencia on loan as well. He really is the last signing we need. Beggars belief if we missed out on Wimmer and Martins Indi for the sake of Mangala, especially the former.

We're the Arthur over ere!

All subjective though, I've two Spurs pals at work who said we dodged a bullet with Wimmer.

Can only go by what I've watched. Wimmers looked classy every time I've seen him play for Spurs, Mangala has looked shocking - even at Valencia.

Agreed! Sakho everyday for me.

Bid accepted by Citeh.

But I don't think the player has taken a view yet or discussed personal terms.

God this transfer deadline Day is all over the place.

If the money saving on Mangala is to get a striker in I think I'd rather take the risk and sign Sakho and pray Benteke stays fit and give Ladapo and Anderson runouts here and there.

Mangala has not looked good in the prem, does not look like a calming influence which our current defence desperately needs and he is not a leader.

I bet they've accepted our offer, they must be rubbing their hands together at the thought of getting a large chunk of their outlay back.

At best he's no better than what we already have, at worst he's a liability.

Then if we have Mangala I presume we dont proceed with Sakho? Unless we can somehow pull off both?!
