Living in the past is just that, it is the future now, we should be more than capable living in the PL, just like Stoke and Southampton, bad leadership is what this is all about, the fact that Parish has promoted himself to a level of incompetence is his problem, live for the now not in history1

Why do you compare us to Southampton, they have been in the top flight for years, apart from a blip a few years ago. I am afraid history does count, all the top 7 clubs have been top teams for many years, so will always end up near the top. We are currently punching above our weight, it won't last for long, unless a billionaire takes a fancy to us, as financially we cannot compete, that isn't Parishs fault.

for us to be a top 7 club, I think the general census of opinion is that after 5 years we should of moved on slightly, Not year after year, One of the favourites for relegation, And not safe until the final couple of games. And to be honest if its not Parish's fault who is it, Only with 7 managers over the past few years, I cant see anyone else in t he frame for our position apart from Parish? Generally his appointments have been awful

I think I said there is no reason why we can't be a stable PL team like Soton and Stoke all we need is the leadership that can bring stability and consistency to the team. Having the number of managers we have had during the last four and a bit seasons has created the complete opposite. Like it or not managerial appointment are in the hands of SP and I'm afraid his people skills are really questionable as is some of the transfers he has approved of as we have a rather higher than normal number that seem to injury prone prior to joining us but for some reason they still seem to pass medicals. As far as financial competence is concerned if we have the 9th highest wage bill in PL then we do seem to have some financial clout it is therefore just not being used to best efficiency. After all it was SP who brokered the deal with the Americans and therefore it was down to him to ensure that had the right investment clout for the club to compete in the PL. i'm sorry i know some people think SP can walk on water but in reality he has promoted himself above the level of his competence as far as running a top flight football club is concerned and he should give up his 650K salary that he takes each year and handover to someone with better skills in that area, which is of course not Freedman who has no proven success as a manager andI'm still aghast as to why on earth SP has appoint him as sporting director!

Ok, I get you think Parish is incompetent, but put forward a viable alternative?
He and his team have brought us to where we are. People who build something up, don't tend to just walk away, maybe you want a rich Indian of Chinaman to take over.
Its easy to be negative, but you have no positive alternative.

I think i said SP had probably reached his level of incompetency as clearly he is now out of depth due to his lack of experience in leading a PL club evidenced by the points I have already made. It is not for me as a non shareholder to make decisions about who should succeed him that has to for the current board and shareholders. As you rightly say in 2010 he and the rest of his board members saved the club but sadly since we have arrived in PL we have made little or no forward progress and you could even argue that we have gone backwards. If the team loses it PL as seems likely we will be heading back to the championship and will lose all the money that comes with PL status and we will have wasted the last four and a bit seasons because the good players we currently have will not want to play in that league. I for one like our PL status and i'm not prepared to accept the current shambles and therefore I use this forum to express my views, sorry you do not like them but we all have our own expectations it just that some are higher than others. We can't keep banging on about passed successes because it the future that counts!

So you have no alternative, just not prepared to accept, what you call a shambles of a 5th season in the Premier.

I thinkI said that is not for me to decide or you come to that it is a results business as SP has already said himself and the results are not there and therefore he has to stand up and be counted like anybody else. Please give your views on why SP should stay and the aspirations you have for the future of the club` but please don't look back as the past cannot be changed tell us what you think should happen?

A cursory glance of the home and away form from last season could see the problem of home form. Both home matches we have played 343 to see if this can reverse that slide. Even under Sam we had some ropey home performances such as Sunderland, Swansea and Burnley. FdB has clearly been told one of his priorities is to address the home form. The current formation with our current personnel clearly isn't the answer. Everything is in place to make Selhurst a fortress as Jermaine Jenas mentioned on the radio last night. With the fans in full flow, opposition players know it will be hard. If we can find a formula that fits on the pitch, not easy, then we may well not be struggling every season at some stage but solid in the league for a full season, the next step in my opinion. In relation to the thread, the owners saw this issue and have tried to address it. May not be working but it is something that needs to be addressed.

The home form is key to survival in this league, trouble it not just last season since we were promoted to the PL the last four and a bit seasons have seen us just win 26 of 78 PL home games, so the writing has been evident for sometime and as yet has not been rectified and I suspect some of that has to be down to us not having a settled management team!

'Why should SP stay?' You want him to 'go'? 'Be careful what you wish for.'

What he needs is experienced work, knowledge, direction and instructions behind the scenes, not to 'leave'.

Not freedman laugh out loud if it was funny. He's a British scout, that's it.

He need a proper, respected DOF. Not a yes man. Not Bright either.

There is no argument on this.

We waited until the last minute to sign players as usual and it probably saved us 4 million quid and cost us two strikes and 9 points.

If we go down, which is looking very likely, Parish should resign. He never learns because we keep getting away with it.
