If so I bet Parish has been lining Roy up for weeks. Never intended to back FDB, was always going to sack him regardless of his going back to a working system.

Christ. So we trade frank for hodgson. What a f***ing joke. Show some ambition, perhaps too much, by employing someone who is going to change the system and infrastructure drastically, taking ages to actually get him in, and then give him only four games. What a disgrace. What a sorry sight for the premier league, no manager will want to risk changing anything. Only the very best teams with the money for world class players and the best managers will be able to play attractive football or change their style up. Parish may have had a great deal of pressure from investors and the yanks, but he's been a right tosser here if he's made the call.

This ^^

Statement due shortly from the club. Roy obviously lined up in advance of yesterday's game.

Following Palace since 25 Feb 1978

Palace have sacked De Boer. How embarrassing is that from our chairman. I normally have a lot of time for Steve Parish but how can you employ an individual, knowing full well his philosophy and playing style, and ask him to change the way our team plays to his style, and then sack him 4 games into the season. The Palace board should hang their heads in shame.

I have to agree here. We played well on Sunday, was expecting at least another couple of games to see how we went.

Surely this indicates that there must be some element of truth to the other rumours around his management style etc.? Would have thought after the improved performance SP might have held off but maybe I'm giving him too much credit or the situation really was as dire as is being made out...

i agree about us being a joke it was wrong to sack him before Southampton if we had lost that one badly then yes maybe but we created enough chances to win all our games

This is desperate by Parish because like all of us he knows that if we get nothing next week it is likely Palace would be firmly anchored to the bottom at Christmas.

I am enjoying being back at Selhurst and having a beer with my mates just like we have done for the past 40 years. Through Thick and thin we stick with our club. Not chairman, players or managers, OUR CLUB!

Apparently Sammy Lee is also going with Ray Lewington coming back with Hodgson.

Ray Lewington is a top coach.

I heard a rumour that Parish and Hodgson met last week.

Ray Lewington is a top coach btw.

Pathetic. Now let's see how poor Woy fares with the next four games. Come on Steve - you will have to sack him too if we lose to Man City, Man U and Chelsea after a defeat to Southampton, won't you?

Your halo has slipped big time now and has crashed and broken on the floor.

Someone on twitter has posted the flight schedule of the US investors private jet. Flew into Biggin Hill for the match, flying back to US this morning.

Dip in directors.

Tbf they aren't quite as winnable as our previous 4 matches.

As annoyed as I am about this situation, can the mods merge all of the FDB sacked/Parish is sh*t threads into one?

Come on, Parish and de Boer know Burnley didn't have to break a sweat outside their 18 yard box as Lee had given them the points after three minutes.
