Debate only happens when people actually discuss the subject. People disagree with you & you throw a hissy fit akin to a toddler. As we all apparently have a lack of football knowledge why do you come on here for "debate"?

Perhaps if you didn't post whatever random thought comes in to your head and then be condescending to people who respond then you may get thoughtful conversation.

David Moyes said that his Sunderland team were in a relegation fight. He then said the new signings he made were no better than the players he already had. He signed players who played for him at Everton & Man Utd reserves when he had a modicum of success. These players included Anichebe who was a constant crock, Pienaar who's legs had gone, McNair & Love who were in his reserves at Man Utd & the booze loving Darron Gibson.

He constantly mentioned his success at Everton when he was failing at Sunderland after failing at Sociadad & Man Utd.

Those are damn good reasons not to employ him. His players at Sunderland called him the Energy Vampire for the way he sucked all the life out of them. He undid all the good work that Allardyce did and relegated the club.

I apologise that someone with little football knowledge has educated you. I look forward to the next installment of Dan89's spurious opinions.

its all water under the bridge now but if pardew was given £35m + sakho in january he wouldav also kept us up....rather than the £10m net in the summer.

It looks like Croydon boy Roy Hodgson set to take over on a 2 year deal. He had a long industrious career. Some success at wba and Fulham. Some disaster at Liverpool and England. My concern is he too out of touch he's 70 ffs. All this talk of stability and we turn to another short term appointment. Now if we went for moyes, younger also knows the league. He also has a tarnished record with Man Utd was too big for him and Sunderland were a disaster club anyway. Sunderland have been waiting to be relegated for the last 4 years. Look at the squad moyes had available at Sunderland. Nothing to work with. Yet if you get the Everton David moyes the one that was one of the longest serving managers, provide the stability that we crave. Both Roy Hodgson and David moyes have tarnished reputation but who's a better choice?
