I don't know about anyone else, but the thing that makes me the most angry about our current situation is that it was totally avoidable.

But of course it being Palace, we spend our 5th consecutive season in the Premier looking like out of our depth novices.

I had no ambition to go to the '' the next level ''. A season without too much angst and a mid table finish and I would have been delighted.

As I have said before, take the ' club saviour ' element out of it, forget about his current level of ownership and ask yourself if our Chairman is running the club in a satisfactory way and is deserving of his £650k pa salary. He's starting to make Charles Horton at Southern Trains look good.

Clearly I'm writing this seething from yet another humiliation on the pitch, but Steve Parish needs to man up and accept that his actions look like undoing all of his previous hard work.

I totally agree with this post, in particular the para in bold. I have supported Palace since 1961, I was more than happy to survive in the Premiership. Before anyone accuses me of lacking ambition, having seen Palace lose 3-1 away at Halifax, being in the Premier League is Utopia. Unfortunately it is now getting a bit embarrassing and SP must shoulder a huge percentage of the blame (and i am one of his supporters) can he not go on social media and apologise? Yes I do think he has reason to apologise, given his outburst after the transfer window regarding not signing a striker.

Agree with this post. I'm not expecting him to grovel for forgiveness but a sincere apology or perhaps some sort of acknowledgement of mistakes plus plans for the rest of the season would be massive for me personally!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I too started supporting Palace in 1961 and have witnessed the lows. Back then I never imagined we would ever be taking our place amongst the elite. Now we are here and embarking on our fifth consecutive season, I hoped we would be beginning to establish ourselves as a reasonably permanent fixture – something like Southampton or West Brom. To attempt to compete with only one recognised striker is simply ludicrous – it’s like trying to run the Grand National without a horse.

But didn't we make the exact same mistake one season previously and ended up surviving from miraculous results towards the end?

FdB was a disaster but from a footballing knowledge I saw that coming but still would be more forgiving had we not seen it all before and even groaned then!!

If you mean the season that we started with Pardew and finished with Sam , the circumstances were slightly different in that I think Steve was trying to bring about some stability in our manager situation , which is what a lot of people on here that are moaning want . I would have sacked Pardew after the cup final , but you can see what Steve was trying to do , it's tough running a football club I would imagine.
This time around Steve had to find a new manager as Sam walked out , unfortunately we chose the wrong one.

Perhaps the question might be why have these 'stable' Managers walked out on Palace.

we have been left in the right S*** by Steve Parish this year. We are a laughing stock with no goals scored and now no recognised striker! Now enough is enough.

Today I will be boasting my huge 2ft by 8ft banner with a big fat 'Enough is enough, 'Parish out'

Time has come

Yeah, that'll help our situation.

Get real - OK Parish made a mistake in appointing FDB he has admitted as much. I would say to all who think like you....Parish and Co saved the club 6 years ago. Without them we could have dropped into obscurity

Lets all get behind Roy and the lads...Eagles!!!

Begins to look like hes made another mistake appointing Roy, who just seems to sit with his head in his hands all the time..has he got the drive/enthusiasm to get us out of this mess or is he just another Palace 'old boy' bought in through sentiment?

Something is clearly wrong at the club and the only person that has been around for that is SP so it has to be to do with him.

He doesn't want to spend what is needed and you know its going all wrong when he is attacking others about FFP.

The guy needs to be owner and step aside from chairman job and just sit in background let others that know what they are doing control things (he has been around awhile now and still making same mistakes which shows he can not learn what it takes also you tend to need a mentor which he has chose not to have)

In fairness he's inherited a car crash.

Convinced that de Boer didn't even get a decent pre-season into the players fitness wise hence so many look off the pace and are picking up niggling injuries.

De Boer didn't arrange the pre season it was already in place before he even got appointed (Sam before he left even stated about he wasn't happy about the pre season arrangements put in place)

They look of the pace because of few reason confidence and a lot of them are not up to the standard the other teams have moved format Palace has not and lets not forget they already wasn't that great so now it's really showing.

Few injured players do not help when we dont have proper cover but we all know who is toe blame for that

That IS the next level. And we are in no danger of stepping up this season
