No coincidence. Notice when we were desperate or tired after working socks off in the 2nd half it went long and there wasn't a single aerial challenge from us up top? The game plan was excellent 1st half but we lost that 2nd half. It was Chelsea of course but it's worth noting.

I sort of disagree there, yes we looked totally f***ing knackered at one point but we managed to get a second wind and we were holding our own against them, which is unusual for us, normally when we're shagged out we're shagged out and that's it, just hold them off best we can but we started attacking again. It was just lovely to see.

Bangell - If Camus wrote The Myth of Sisyphus today, it would be about Jason Puncheon eternally trying and failing to pass with his right foot.

Stay up? of course we'll stay up!

Palace got its MOJO back today, on the up we are..

Should look even better with RLC in the side, and the next run of games we might even keep a few clean sheets.

We might be at the foot of the table but we're certainly not cut adrift and today has shown we've still got confidence, fight and class.

Nothing to worry about, plenty to good football to look forward to this season.

Could and should have finished 3-1 to us.

Quality performance, fantastic to see this is how the lads have responded to Roy.

I'm quoting myself from a post in the Speroni thread (big headed dick that I am) and I don't think we could get away with it forever but respect to Roy for coming up with a successful solution to our no striker dilemma.

"I think we might have hit on a great formation that confuses/lulls the opposing team into a false sense of security with Andros and Wilf up front. With the threat of both if them up front and the option for Wilf to hang back I think it even helped with the perennial problem of teams shutting Wilf down, which is something no manager has solved so far. I reckon we could get away with that for a bit at least."

I think its a great shout. It confused Chelsea today and we've always been at our best in the premier league when teams didn't know how to deal with us, its when they'd worked us out we've hit our lulls.

As a Mate said to me today, Townsend and Zaha were like Messi and Suarez today.

Did we threaten again after 55 mins? Did they? When a team get a goal then the momentum swings.

They tore the Chelsea defence a new one and they made Azpilicueta and David Luiz their bitches. They even got one of them to score for us. A bit more composure in front of goal and we'd have thumped them.

Yeah totally agree we don't want to loose the width. Id have Cheek breaking in to the center along with zaha or Andros which ever one isn't active on the wing. But both will be stretching the wings and coming in as and when.

RLC instead of macarthur, with him, wilf and andros continually switching places.....

What I found interesting was how, at times, we dealt with a lack of height up front. Jules would launch the ball and we either didn't challenge or got beaten in the air. The great thing was it didn't matter as when they headed it out our midfield placed themselves in a position to get the ball from the header and start an attack. It was a very, very clever tactic.

The Spanish Waiter will be all over this game plan for the next week. It worked wonderfully yesterday but Newcastle will be expecting it when next Saturday comes around, so we absolutely must have a Plan B that we work on before then.

I'm not a fan of Schlupp but I really liked what he did yesterday. The order seemed to be: run around a lot, get your foot in, use your pace to stretch them. He was extremely effective and allowed us to press the ball and make it so much harder to spring our extraordinarily bold offside trap.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Fair enough point, but the number of times we countered in the last 20 we should have had more than just the two goals!
