Fosters. I used to think John Smiths was OK in comparison, but that's pretty dire now too. Do they still serve Castlemaine XXXX anywhere? I haven't seen it for ages. It's the nastiest beer I've ever tasted and beating Foster's is quite an achievement, Broce.

It was brewed in the UK and wasn't as strong as the £real" version brewed and sold in Australia. Fosters beer is a bit of a joke with Aussies as they don't like it so export it all to the less discerning palates of the Brits Australia does have some nice beers but they keep them to themselves. When I was over there visiting family I was drinking Boag's Premium which is very nice

I know a Welsh chap who likes Felinfoel "Double Dragon".Evidently the Welsh affectionately call Felinfoel "Feeling foul" ! He also like Brains SA which the Welsh refer to as "Skull attack".

I know in the past in Australia (Late 80s) I consumed Hahns and Reschs beer, some straight from a 'Stubby'. Edited by Willo (10 Nov 2017 8.48am)

The oddest beer I had like this was Dead Pony Club by Brew Dog. Warm its horrible, but ice cold I can't praise it enough.

Fosters used to have a stronger 5% version that was stronger than the one you have on your cereal. All those 3% - 3.5% lagers are watery p1ss.
