No, they won't. They will borrow more money and they will bloat out the benefit system costing the tax payer and making fecklessness something to be proud of. They will allow unions to rekindle their influence in government and ensure that education and the NHS decline even further. No, you seem to forget the Conservative party in opposition to Blair were very poor. Also, whilst not in opposition per se, John Major was a conservative PM who managed to lose an election despite having a good economy and sustained wage growth.
