Ticketless fans rushing the gates so genuine fans end up locked out, vanadalism at the station, destruction of Artwork and general yobbishness - and we have the cheek to call Millwall scum!

Some will no doubt revel at how "hard" we are - well let's see them do the same next year if we go down when the knuckle draggers from the den turn up

Thank you for pointing out that the daub was artwork, not my taste,I thought the local council should've removed it.I prefer The Haywain and Bruno is no oil painting!

I was one of those locked out.

It was ridiculous.Usual away day mix of fans, youngsters, people with kids, older people standing around pretty quietly.Nobody doing anything, but surrounded by masses of police.

One guy said he'd been trunchoned back as they closed the entrance.

No one had info, save to say the lock out was decided upon by stewards. Later,I managed to speak to a senior police officer who said the matter would be "determined" at half time.

Then, suddenly (posing a threat to absolutely no one), we were all kettled away without explanation or warning towards the station.

One Kent police officer I spoke to there said it was the most stupid way of dealing with a situation he'd seen in 10 years of policing matches.

My son had arrived separately early. He was behind the goal near the front .He said just before kickoff a load of young kids, maybe c.14-18 years old had swarmed in and taken over that area,in black, scarves over mouths, let off bangers during the game, including one idiotically when Benteke was nearby at a corner,no doubt putting him off.

D++kheads. I've seen them before at an away game. Not the main HF,but a bunch of infant wannabees who would last about 10 seconds if they met any real opposition.Perhaps the HF should disassociate from them and tell them to f@@k right off?

What a waste of an evening! At least we got a point...

Brighton have got to take some of the blame here.

They are meant to have a brand new state of the art stadium.

They agreed to ticket restrictions that meant all supporters had to show ID and should have been able to enforce that.

Fans trying to rush gates is nothing new. Neither are fans trying to smuggle pyrotechnics into grounds.

They have a duty to ensure all their customers gain safe entry into the stadium. If I had a ticket I would be demanding all my expenses back from them.

Agreed,Brighton and the police should have had arranged proper screening for tickets before anyone actually got anywhere near to the turnstiles.

Hopefully the club can't be fined or sanctioned for the actions of the retards

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

I imagine we will be somehow. Compensation for injured stewards will probably be a start. No doubt they are already getting the cold call 'we understand that you have been involved in an accident'

That was a absolute disgrace and i will never go to another palace away game

grown men letting off smoke bombs kicking dogs pushing over stewards amazing really another 2 minutes i would have been in the stadium and none the wiser and probably be content to be treated like cattle marched around Brighton to queue for a train then boxed in by police and stewards as we got off train at falmer
i dont blame stewards police and even palace supporters its the nature of the away game its what you expect of a perfect away day !! grown men banging on roofs of trains pissing against parked cars chucking bottles at Brighton supporters

Disgusting behaviour. These flares and s*** need to f*** off also.

Silly little boys dressed in black covering faces etc.. . *Ultras lolol pathetic.

Used to be decent getting the crowd going etc. Not anymore. They're just an embarrassment.

Other fans should be going to support the team and not acting like animals. Not what football should be about. Ruined it for the normal fans.

Feel sorry for every genuine person who paid, travelled and couldn't get in.

BBC story

Two stewards were taken to hospital after crowd trouble broke out at Brighton's home Premier League game against rivals Crystal Palace.

Brighton said Palace supporters who had travelled without tickets tried to force their way into the stadium.

The decision was taken to close turnstiles early and some fans with tickets could not see Tuesday's match.

Seagulls chief executive Paul Barber said the "swift action" had "avoided further, major disorder".

"We hope the two stewards hospitalised in the disorder have not suffered serious injuries," he added.

"A minority came intent on causing disorder, which left several stewards with minor injuries, and one steward from each club hospitalised," a Brighton statement said.

The club added that "a number of Crystal Palace fans" arrived after the 19:45 GMT kick-off and tried to force their way into the ground.

Police and the club then decided to close turnstiles early "in the interest of public safety" - just six minutes into the game - which meant fans with tickets who arrived late could not get in.

"A group of about 150 fans - some with tickets - were then escorted back to Falmer station, and onto Brighton Station, before being placed on a train back to London," the club said.

Barber added: "While some genuine fans were left extremely disappointed and unable to get into the stadium, the correct decisions were made."

Sussex Police said they will be viewing CCTV images to identify troublemakers.

Fans with tickets who were stopped from seeing the game have been asked to contact Crystal Palace's ticket office for a refund.

Do we have any footage or stories of people "storming the gates" as it's been mentioned? Whilst i'm not suggesting it didn't happen, if there aren't any first hand accounts of it happening, how do we know the whole debacle wasn't caused by a ticketing issue by BHA?

I saw zero trouble at all yesterday, aside from the bangers and smoke bombs being let off, but they happen most away games now. The only time I felt that tensions were starting to get heated was caused by the fact they kept the Palace fans behind for 45 minutes. Now we all knew we'd get kept behind (Although we were told we'd only be kept in for 25 minutes), but just before they let us leave, they opened up the shutters that had been preventing us from leaving. It was only when they opened the shutters that we realised the exit was blocked by a ring of riot police and were told to file out via a double door fire exit at the end of the concourse. Now, i'm no health and safety expert, but 1900 people, trying to exit via a double door isn't a very good idea, and caused crushes and tempers flared.

Poorly managed by the police and stewards.

In hindsight, Brighton's decision to restrict the number of Palace fans must be seen as the catalyst. I don't think there have been any of these problems in the other matches we have played at the Amex.

Obviously some went yesterday with storming the gates in mind but with proper stewarding and policing, this should have been prevented.

The HF and getting lots of stick for this but there is no proof other than the culprits wearing black which is not that unusual at a football match. I suspect that most of the HF had enough points to obtain tickets themselves and wouldn't have needed to storm in.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
