I think there is more chance of big sam getting booed by palace fans than Pardew which I agree with purely because he lied about his situation and was basically looking for a better job

If anyone boos Allardyce they're a bit stupid.

He and we had an exit clause.

He turned down a couple of clubs before Everton.

The money and resources Everton have compared to us makes it obvious why he'd rather not have to operate under this kind of sh1t, unless we've actually prepared well and it's the rest of the world that's wrong.

He did Parish a favour by not saying anything about struggles or money needed spending he'd rather not. Or maybe not as it backfired, again.

It's closer to home in Bolton.

He was bloody awful for a long period but deserves a decent reception I think for his history with us past and recent. I think he’ll get it.

Tight game I think but hope to see a 2-1 to Palace.

Unfortunately for us Pardew usually seems to do well when he starts at a new club and for this reason I’m going for a 2-0 West Brom win. I so hope I’m wrong, but I still don’t think that black away kit is doing us any favours either.

WBA have won at home only once all year (opening day vs. Bournemouth) and haven't won at all in the league since August 12 when they beat Burnley away (they have 6 draws and 6 losses since then).

After losing 7 games to open the season, Palace have since collected 2 wins, 3 draws and 2 losses (unlucky road trips to Spurs and Newcastle).

WBA have conceded 11 goals in their last 4 games at home; Palace haven't scored on the road all season. One of these things has to give on Saturday. Seeing as the two teams have very different trajectories right now, I know which way I think it's going to go.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

This is the type of game you can just see Pardew doing something in. Won our first at home against Spurs. His tactics are useless and brainless but that initial shock factor of blindly running as fast as you can and shooting on sight can be a killer. Especially when he's taking over a Pulis defensively drilled team, which is what compensated for us in the early Pardew days in my opinion.

I desperately hope I'm wrong though & we can avoid defeat, and really we need to try and win. I'm not sure I'll be able to cope in the aftermath of him pulling one over us.

Head says 2-1 West Brom, heart says 2-1 us.

WBA have lacked any real attacking ambition, but defensively drilled they are not. They conceded 2 goals vs. Newcastle, 4 vs. Chelsea, 3 vs. Man City and 2 vs. Watford...all at home. Their last clean sheet anywhere was mid-September at home to West Ham; against whom they too failed to score.

Now, I don't think Pardew has been there long enough to really screw them up by having them try to dribble out of their own 6-yard box, but even with Pulis' defend first / defend forever tactics, they were shipping goals and losing games. That is, of course, why Pulis was fired in the first place. It wasn't the boring football (although that should be enough), it was that there were not the results to show for the drudgery.

There's usually a new manager bounce, but are the players really going to be excited to have that preening gadfly in charge now?

1-1 Loftus Cheek to draw us level in the second half, and i hope AP gets a good reception. He should never have got the bullet...

Although selling GM and Gayle, what a massive gaff that was...

Think Pards will get the respect he deserves and with the new manager effect, we may struggle, even though in a tight encounter,I go for 1-0 to us,our first win on the road.
