I used to read a lot of cricket autobiographies but they were all anodyne so haven't bothered for a few years. Interesting cricketing characters like Nasser Hussain and Shane Warne could have told interesting stories but didn't.

I might buy Steve Harmison's book that's just come out as I think that it'd been written with a bit of passion

Yes. His book and that of Graham Thorpe were the two exceptions as both dealt extensively with personal issues rather than just how well they batted.

Incidentally I went to a cricketing lunch a couple of years ago and sat next to Marcus Trescothick. What an incredibly nice and down to earth bloke he was too
