Solution is stress all the beliefs which is against modern norms (gender equality, individual rights etc) and apply harsh punishment for the ones who practically act against it. I am not fan of Boris (in fact, don`t like him at all) but although it sounds provocative, his `letterbox` comment was a fair criticism for the mind-set which officially ignore and discriminates women in social life.

I was picking up on the idea of a "young teenage girl" being invited to a party by staff in a kebab shop. Not of any particular young lady but the general idea of kids being allowed to go to such places unaccompanied was what troubled me. Most on the answers, yours included, concentrate on the specifics whilst I am attempting to get behind them. I have no issue with your analysis or your suggestions to deal with it. We absolutely need to ensure everyone understands and follows our standards. That though wasn't the point I was raising.

I know we have an imperfect world which isn't likely to improve and I already said just that. I am asking the question about what we, as a society, could do to help establish a background in which another problem, unrelated to the "grooming gangs" but still as potentially pervasive, would have less chance of becoming established. If you don't think that's important and have nothing to contribute other than insults to me, that's OK. Others might.

It seems some haven't yet either learned or accepted that. We know it's wrong, just as we know Palace are a better club than Brighton, but if you have grown up in a culture which indoctrinates you then you need the truth to be shown to you. Those unable or unwilling to accept that is the truth, in our culture, will need the stick approach.
