Agree. I've actually been turning away from him in recent weeks as he's like a broken record and should've settled that case with the police out of court. He's tainted too so although the message is correct, he's never going to help get it across in the mainstream. The fraud conviction doesn't sit right with me either.

That said, he's in the right on this, but it's the final nail in the coffin. Can't exactly defend the accusations of being a football thug now even if the bloke had it coming. He's finished.

I think Robinson is locked into a spiral. He's a cult figure now. A bogie man for the left and a hero for nationalists. Two sets of people who kind of depend upon him.

He definitely has issues and things worthy of criticism about him.

He needs to get out.....but I can see how he's also kind of locked in.

Decision is near enough being made for him. He's been totally shut down on all platforms (something everyone should be worried about) and they're trying to imprison him again. I can see him ending up a martyr at this rate.

It's not as simplistic as just liking some football hooligan. When the politicians, police and media ignore racially aggravated rape – the result is Tommy Robinson. And people are surprised? Though Tommy does himself no favours.

But I do find it strange that the left also demonises smart people like Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Douglas Murray for campaigning on the same issues.

You know precisely why they do that Penge.

Robinson's class and connection to hooliganism is just another angle for them to use to attack him.

That way they can more easily shield people away from what he is actually saying by only showing people what they want them to see.

Ali's focus is more in the US and I imagine that both her and Murray don't want to get involved in street rallies because they aren't actually that effective. I imagine they know the inevitable confrontations that would happen, which would lead to more death threats and more media lies and distortions.

The media still attack them of course but as they are no real threat to the hegemony and have less obvious things to attack about them....they are relegated far behind Robinson.

Give over. For a man of the world who's been all over the gaff from touring Romania to running Brunei you're a bit soft if you can compare a slap like TR gave that loudmouth to someone getting killed.

And as for all this Queensbury rules bollox, it's a tear up ffs. Should he have sent a telegram a week in advance?

He pinged him and moved on. The bloke called it on so in reality he's lucky he didn't get his head jumped on when he hit the deck, always give them a shoe when they're down as far as I'm concerned, you don't want them getting back up. Very restrained and decent of Tommy.

Yeh, I'm a bit soft

So when someone came up behind me, leaned over my shoulder and smashed a beer glass in my eye that's my own fault for not being ready. When you come to visit me in Row 19 of Block E you will know me as the man with one eye a different colour to the other.

I have seen nothing where the bloke 'called it on', nor that indicated 'it was a tear up'. Did he offer Harris/Lennon a fight? No. He was of course moving away in an aggressive fashion, how could Lennon not react by chasing after him. And at the last minute raised his chin in a frightening fashion, no wonder Lennon felt he had to hit it.

You are such a brave sounding chap, always giving 'them' a shoe. I wonder to how many people you have done that. I truly admire you.

How does getting glassed change the colour of your iris out of interest? Not sure what it's got to do with this anyway.

Watch the video, it's all there. Choosing to continue with your own narrative simply because you envy TR is up to you.

You're in E block? You never said.

Oh wait a minute, you did. You're the brave "pull the ladder up jack" soul sold out the rest of block E who had season tickets for years so he could stay and worm his way in with the invading HF. Mr Solidarity you are.

In saying that you should consider stamping on someones head when they're down if they say something you don't like, how exactly does that differ from advocating attempted murder? That nobody pulled you up on it, goes to highlighting the pitiful 'Avvv it' style of fronting up and displays of what some feel it is to be a 'man' on here.

This guy just told you that he was physically attacked when unprepared for it by someone smashing a beer glass into his EYE. He's highlighting what can happen in such circumstances. You know, like when things escalate to the point of considering sucker punching someone or stamping on their head when they're down. Your instant thought is 'who cares' and to carry on having a pop. Maybe try acting against type and displaying some basic human decency to others.

Clearly what happened in the video cannot be defended, and the only way you've seen to do so is to lurch to some kind of extreme, at least he didn't get his head stomped though, because he could've done much worse to him stance.. If you're telling me that all you need to do to get Tommy locked up is to call him some names and get him to swing, and that you agree with that stance, then it's not a particularly effective way of being a spokesman for a cause is it.

It's possible to support Tommy and the causes he highlights, but to also say you're completely against any attack on him or from him. You don't have to go 'all in' to the point where this stuff is acceptable. It demeans what he stands for and makes those supporting him look ridiculous by proxy. As I said before, Farage called this train wreck for what it is and you're doing a great job at proving his point.

He's also said he's had a season ticket for 25 years whilst running Brunei, living in Romania and being friends with Steve Parish.

Apologies if I don't believe everything I read from a stranger on the internet, although ironically this is the story that strikes as probably being true!

I never condoned anyone getting glassed and wouldn't bow to a sob story just because video evidence has proved someone wrong.

I agree with you regarding Farage, but where I'm from if you mouth off and call on a smack in the mouth (and get one) you've got nobody to blame but yourself. It's called a decent upbringing.

A good summing up. It makes sense to differentiate between those voices and this type of approach. The likes of Tommy are certainly an imperfect reaction to an ignored problem, but he exposes his achilles heel when he reacts like this and doesn't lead anywhere good for him or his message.
