I do enjoy listening to our manager give press conferences. After the nonsense and excuse making of Pardew, the "lets draw all our games" mantra of Allardyce, and the incessant Northern whining of Colin (just to name a few in recent memory).
Hodgson just has a kind of calm, honest, and assured demeanor. He doesnt spin a bunch of half truths to the press, doesnt bite on their numerous attempts to get something controversial, and just talks a lot of sense. In the era of the "special one" and compared to manager's like Wenger, Ferguson and crazy Klopp aka animal from the muppets, you have to respect that.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

I like it that there's no getting carried away if there's a win. We cannot afford not to drive for every point, especially vs the bottom 14 clubs. If the players falsely start believing they're superstars again then they're done and the opposition always look like they can score 2+ goals.

Yes a proper decent old fashioned football bloke.
Always has been , got so much undeserved stick over England.
So much better to have him than a whining d@ck like Silva , warning the ref about Wilf before the game last night trying to get an advantage , then after waffling about we should have had a man sent off , completely ignoring his own shortcomings like taking off Deeney in a winning position and losing for the second time this season.
Watford form is waning , let's see what he does.

Noticed you have scored a lot of late goals - fitness must be good (very much so compared to us!) and despite not playing well your still getting results out of the bag.

Roy Hodgson is a man of unimpeachable integrity, a man of erudition and man of real dignity - a gentleman straight and true.

He is also a highly experienced and capable football manager and well respected in the game.He really is a 'Gloucester Old Spot' of hams and we are privileged to have him as our manager.

That's true but unfortunately we concede a lot of early ones as well.

It's not often that anyone writes this but I completely agree with you Willo.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

We have been playing well but chucking points away.
Unfortunately for you , that was the worse we have played under Roy and this time the breaks went with us.

Superhorn,
I've noticed Silva seems to hand the iniative to the opposition, with his substitution s.
From winning positions you have lost to us and Chelsea after taking off Deeney.
Does he do it all the time ?

Just goes to show many games between many of the clubs from 7th down are close and fine margins determine the results.
We haven’t always got the luck going our way, last night we did.
Roy is very experienced at this level and is a perfect fit for us.

Very sensible words.

One cannot help thinking that had Hodgson been appointed before the start of the season we would have a few more points on the board.

But that is history - at the present our 'Direction of travel' is encouraging and the future does look a lot brighter than it was looking after 7 games, all of which we lost.
