Because soon, someone is going to create a topic about looking up. It is going to ask questions like 'now we're out of the relegation zone, should we be aiming for 8th?' or 'Should Hodgson win Manager of the year?' The forum will then discuss at length and a flurry of happy activity. Then we will lose to Swansea and Wilf will get injured and we'll spend the rest of the season praying for 17th come May. So I like the serenity and the quiet fear it could all go wrong. May it last until we are mathematically safe.

I agree 100% with the OP. You look down the thread titles and there is very little sense we just destroyed a bang in form Leicester on their own patch with an extraordinary performance. And where is the harm in a looking up thread when we've done so much looking down? The OP is pointing out that there's a lot more misery than joy on here and he's right

Talking about and sharing concerns makes people feel better, whereas a barrage of congratulatory back-slapping is rarely prolonged, probably because it feels like tempting fate.
