Just heard SIR Vince Cable defend Nick Clegg's honour. "he didn't want to accept a peerage so he accepted a knighthood instead".

Wow the generosity of our politicians. Rejected and s
Sacked by the electorate he selflessly turns down a peerage to accept a humble knighthood.

Using that logic I would like to reject a date with Angelina however I will humbly accept a date with Kylie.

I expect that Clegg realised that if he accepted a peerage even more mealy mouthed moaners would crawl out of the woodwork
