A bit of history for Palaces FA Cup game v the Weed. A referee in the stand with a tv monitor to aid the referee on the pitch. My question is, will this benefit Wilf? It is said he has 'earned 'penalties by going down easily, even diving. But there have been many instances where he has been blantantly fouled, but a cautious referee playing on. I think Wilf will benefit, and so Palace as well. Let's hope the penalty taker is competent. That's four points dropped recently.
Will Wilf be playing ? Sure it will benefit us who ever plays though.

It feels like a rather desperate attempt to appease the masses after countless shocking refereeing decisions. In my personal opinion it shows that Football has failed, with continual poor refereeing and spoilt, disrespectful players. In a similar vein, I see that both Poll and Clattenburg have come out and refused to accept the panels decision NOT to cite Zaha for diving against Man City? So, a bloke that gave 3 yellows to one player and Clattenburg, who appears to have openly admitted to not applying the laws correctly, now get upset when a panel clears a player and they disagree? Even when a panel of people review a decision, using video evidence, these two and a couple of other pundits still refuse to accept it. It is saddening. They are, therefore and by definition, suggesting that the referee got the decision wrong. In short they are no better than the rest of us. Criticising a player, a panel of experts (one would assume) with video evidence and a ref - but in the media.

Sadly it wont as it'll only be used in contentious incidents...not the everyday shove / baulk off the ball that Wilf gets all day long and should get more free kicks from. What will happen is every time he gets brought down in and around the penalty area it'll be played over and over again until an angle is found to cast doubt on any decision made and then be used to call Wilf a cheat on that spurious basis.

The irony with this cretin is that he originally said it was a fair decision!
