As with Mandanda I know nothing about Guaita, as with Mandanda my concern is how long it can take foreign keepers to adapt to the PL

I know one game doesn’t tell the whole story but he kept the score against Barca at 2-1 back in September when it easily could’ve been 6 or 7. The Getafe back 4 really isn’t all that yet their record is pretty decent.

He just wasn’t cut out for a fight and thought he’d walk the season with the no. 1 spot. He was still our best keeper in the games he played imo. Wasn’t a question of anything other than having the fight and bottle for me.

All the clips looked good, with strong hands & wrist pushing shots away from goal and danger, but no evidence of his ability to come and take a cross. Maybe, he can, but there was no evidence here. I trust Roy to know best.

No doubt we all hoped for more from Mandanda but at the end of the day he didn't settle here in the same way Wolf didn't settle in Manchester.
