Brighton and Huddersfield just came up. You can't expect to be top ten material in your first year. We've been here five years now and nothing's changed. Stoke and Southampton may be struggling now, but that was after they had several years of stability, consistently in the top half. We haven't.

Don't know why you brought up Burnley to be honest because they prove my point better than anyone. They've been here less than two years and they're 7th! If they can do it, why not us?

Under Pulis and Allardyce we were battling relegation for most of the season. Same with Pardew's first season. Not to mention the great collapse of 2016. A lot of those finishes are false positions that don't reflect how our seasons have really been. In reality, we've been anything but comfortable, and with five years worth of TV money, not to mention Harris & Blitzer's investment into the stadium, that's beyond a joke.

You're right we've been anything but comfortable but hopefully now there's a highly respected manager which generally means Parish listening and freedman, hopefully it'll be more prepared and professional at this level.

Hold tight and moan like hell if you have to in the last few days or 1st February. Will be better for you.

I listened and I thought the guys have parish quite an easy ride and he did dodge various questions, though it was still quite interesting despite that.
Good on parish for coming in.

He also had an annoying habit of not finishing his sentences before jumping onto something else, also the guys would often interrupt him when he was about to say something interesting (eg the anecdote he started about the time he was chatting to an agent about the clubs potential).

Overall a very interesting listen, well worth it if you're interested in the running of the club etc.

Personally, I don't care who is happy amongst the fans in the transfer window. Everyone has an opinion and nobody knows what they are talking about. It's a time of rumour and specultion and with all the false reports from agents and players trying to move on or get game time, clubs trying to get the best cash back for players that they don't want, need or can'y keep hold of. There is no way we can fully know what is going on until a player is either over the line or not.

...the club do not do the transfers early. In fact sometimes we leave them so late that if there is a hitch we miss out.

Did you actually listen to the podcast? What part of what was said on late transfers didn't make sense to you.

I would much rather take the word of those who know, than those who wished they knew but have'nt got a clue.

What is important to me is not the he said she said but the fact that our club is moving in the right direction, year on year and IMHO, it is and has been every year since we came out of administration..
