Two possible names from that team are Roy Bailey, goalkeeper who went on to a good career under Bobby Robson at Ipswich and was the father oF Gary Bailey who played for Man United. I think that Johnny Rainford is second from left in the front row, a good player who we sold to Cardiff and then onto Brentford.

The other prominent name in the A team was Pat Saward who did well.

Palace first team had players like Fred Dawes, Dick Graham , Jack Lewis, Freddie Kurz and Marcel Gaillard.
