Apologies for the constant little bits of info. I'm just passing on what I get told whenever. Have just been told Leeds have NOT made an approach for him. Palace have made an approach but Preston have not accepted it even though he wants to come.

and just been told that he is defiantly wanting to move away as he has been trying to get Preston to negotiate a new contract to bring him in line with other players at the club but they have been refusing. All indicators are that he will be keen o the move if the clubs can agree a fee.

I'm afraid of this deal. I'm afraid that he's gonna get signed! Bringing in 26 year old Jordon Hugill for anything above 3 million is gonna go down as the biggest rip-off of the winter.

I know what you mean Matteo it will seem underwhelming. I think the problem we have is unless we spend a minimum of 30 mill we are unlikely to get a replacement for Tekkers. If we are wanting someone to push Tekkers then we are looking at more of a squad player. I think we have to remember that if say 2 years ago we said 4 mill for a squad player striker we would all think thats reasonable but transfer fees are going up exponentially. What was a 4 mill player 2 years ago is todays 8 mill player.

I have not seen any players come and go that I am particularly gutted to have missed out on. We are not able to attract players like Giroud.

Sod’s law now dictates that Hughill will score a goal a game for Palace from now until the end of the season!

My daughter in law is a Preston season ticket holder and she says that he is rubbish and they should take the money and run ! She does not think he is anywhere good enough for the Premiership He is always looking to foul and ends up on the floor He apparently very frustrating. So best we don’t buy him 😱
