I think we should just kick it old school while he's out. Backs to the wall and punts up field to the two big lads. Let's just forget about any sense of good football for a few weeks and try and scrap some points. It's worked for Burnley this season.

It really is hard to be positive at the moment though given our ridiculous injury record this season.

I think we should park the bus whilst he's out.

I heard from AA sources it broke down on M25 this morning.

Gearbox , nothing trivial.

If he is anywhere near fit, available and hungry get him in.

Works like a Trojan and knows the club.

Wilf has been off the boil for the past 4 games...so could be a blessing in disguise.id sooner he was fit and raring to go for the remaining 8 games than those against 4 of the top 5 coming up.

Id also like to see some of the kids getting a chance on the bench...esp Wan Bisakka, Nirby or Hungbo.

We have Ward fit again so we could poss see TFM take up the right side and swap Townsend over to the right...also with the likes of Reiderwald and the kid from Benfica available we shpuld have enough in us to continue to pick up valuable points.

Learning to do so without Wilf will only help in the long run. We expect too much of him.

This. We have to find a way of playing without wilf. We can't keep relying on him so much. Time for some others to step up their game.

I love being a Palace fan, we dont do things easy, like to keep the fans on the edge of there seats,
look we will be ok new signings need to step up sooner rather than later and playing 2 big men up front not a bad thing, AS is alot more mobile than teke, southampton played with 2 big men upfront couple of seasons ago until they sold them,
we just have to keep it simple pass and move with 2 big men in the box it may just work

It certainly doesn't seem good. But, let's be honest, if Palace are dependant on one player to maintain a place in the megabucks, then maybe we should nt be there.
However, if you believe, as i do, Palace have several very good players in the squad, all able to do a skilful shift, then there is nothing to fear. Even with Wilf in the side Palace haven't maximised their two recent winnable games. So a change may be useful, to look at the bright side. After all Wilf does not pass like Cabaye, nor defend like Tompkins, nor Harry like Andros, nor bite like Lula. Each to their own and let Palace carry on not losing and occasionally winning.
Please, no more panic and defeatist talk. COYP

Do we not think it is worth waiting to hear what the club report on this rather than the wild speculation. I notice already that some media outlets have gone from 1 month out to two months and possibly the rest of the season before he has even had a scan to assess the damage.
