Where does the £40 million figure come from?

Not a great window but January rarely is for any club. It wasn't a shambles either. We were unable to get Guaita who appears to have been our main target but have now got him for the summer.

The squad needs major rebuilding, paying over the odds in January would leave comparatively little for the summer.

Transfer windows need to be more strategic and less reactive. Fans need to try and ignore the hype, not easy I know but there is a big job in rebuilding our squad and unfortunately it will likely take Roy a few windows

someone tell me why he has to explain to anyone what he does with his money, he told you when he and the rest took the club over that it will be run like a business to make sure we dont go under, you lot dont spend as much of your own money to keep this club alive,if he followed your advise we would be gone forever,so if you dont like it run away quit or support the team and hope we dont go back to the dark days which is only just around the corner at any time with stupid spending,tell me what club around us is safe if you have a good player the big clubs take them law of the jungle,if theres a player we want so does everyone else, people on here think they have a given right to ask them to spend all there money to keep them happy,

Mate we've had two keepers on the books for 9 months now, spanning TWO transfer windows. What other teams have had that? We had one striker from August up until Feb 1st, with Parish prattling on about 'the sun not coming up' when asked what if he gets injured.

Everyone can makes mistakes, but he keeps repeating them. We have no cover for either Zaha or Townsend (or competition frankly), what happens one of them gets injured. We have two keepers, one of them is injured. We had one striker, guess what he got injured.

Anyone saying 'no one could have foreseen this' is off their head. That's exactly what cllubs all across the land do, and thats why they pretty much all have 3 starting strikers as standard. 3 or 4 wingers and 3 fackin keepers.
