Can anyone enlighten me as to why the Palace v Liverpool game may be changed due to the champions league quarter final. The quarter final is on the following Tuesday or Wednesday?

Thank you I had not gone back far enough. Presumably the Liverpool game would not be switched if they played champions league QF on the Tuesday?

What's the worst case here?

5:30pm on the same day?

Or potentially on the Sunday?

Potentially Sunday

Chelsea-Spurs (Prem) is on the Sunday due to it being picked for live tv

If Chelsea or Spurs get to the CL QF, and have a CL fixture on the following Tuesday, then Chelsea-Spurs nicks our Saturday lunchtime tv slot, and we take the Sunday slot.

There are other scenarios too.

Hopefully it stays on the Saturday; I was hoping for a sporty & boozy Saturday with the Joshua fight on later that evening.

So what happens if Liverpool get through to the CL quarter final and have a tie on the Tuesday as well as Chelsea and/or Spurs...

Why change .

So some idiot at Premier league can pick a KO time which most regular live fans of both teams will find the least attractive , they will also check to make sure no trains running North to South and South to North for LFC fans who actually live around Liverpool . London overground will not be running and either Selhurst or Norwood Junction staions (preferably both will be shut .

Oh and it will allow time to arrange a brainstorming session on how to rearrange seats in lower Holmesdale to piss off as many as possible.

so with spurs now out of europe if chelsea fail to beat barca does that increases the chances of the game staying where it is ?
