Having seen him live, most would agree he was an amazing performer. The last of the comedians whose heritage was pre-war stand up touring of theatres. He possessed a genuine individuality. Maybe it's unfair to say, but is there any comedian around at the moment with such a unique personality and who will be recognized as such on their passing?

Like others have said, I also was never really a fan, however, I loved the diddy men. I was still really saddened when I heard the news of his passing this morning. He was a legend. RIP Ken...

A real comedy legend. I was lucky enough to see his show last year in Brighton, he still managed 5 hours on stage and left me with sore sides from laughing so much. RIP Doddy
