Poll on BTsport still stating Swarbrick got it right saying that there's deliberate handball and handball where he didn't do it for his own advantage,to me deliberate is exactly that.

I do not see the difference between a defender handling on the line and receiving a red and a striker diving but only receiving a yellow. Edited by crystal-purley (31 Mar 2018 9.26pm)

they really need to re write a set in stone all the offenses that should be booked theres only handful that are set which mostly relates to goalkeeper. this is the same with the mane dive/pen contact is made so they say that is always a pen but he dived short while after (klopp made me laugh making out the pain kicked in after which is why that guy is clearly on drugs) the ref did alright first half second half he was like a different person i wonder at times if someone is in there ear telling them how the game should go too often this happens with big teams

from my reffing experience the incident warranted a yellow card as the player pulled the ball towards him with his hand. You can be lenient if the player falls on the ball or brushes it with their hand but HE picked the bloody thing up. COYP

In terms of an opponent gaining possession if my recollection is correct, McCarthy was not near the ball and Mane was nearest to it and was favourite to get to it first. Obviously I don't know what was going through the referees mind so any comment as to the possibilities would be pure speculation. In any event the debate is about the referee who at the end of the day didn't lose us the game,in fact he made an excellent decision NOT to award a penalty when Mane went to ground.Step forward Messrs Benteke and Sakho who certainly played their part in our defeat.

Post match, Klopp himself said it should have been a red card. He said he had no idea what the ref was thinking. He also complained about our penalty, and their non-penalty, and the yellow on Mane for diving, but he seemed to think that the second yellow on Mane should have been no question.

Looking back at the handball you couldnt get more deliberate , I mean look at the Watford v Bournemouth game yesterday where the Watford player did a maradona still punch to put the ball out of play he received a yellow and conceded a penalty , moment of madness if Ive ever seen one

Regarding our Penalty in some ways you can say we was lucky because Wilfs foot was way too high so ref would of stopped the game for that. At the end of the day we threw away another game it was nothing to do with the ref and had Mane been sent off whos to say we would of gone on to win anyway the past has shown we don't do well against 10 men
