Being honest I'm normally quite optimistic of our prospects near the end of seasons but this year I just have a bad feeling. I almost feel like it's typical Palace, we need an impossible run in to stay up. We like to be the underdog but when we're confident or favourites or too good to go down, that's when it all goes wrong

Have they been asked to provide analysis of their thinking or is such an interrogation just for 'Yours Truly' ? At the end we could be in the relegation zone when we kick-off on Saturday and we are in the dying embers of the season.We play Brighton and you know what often happens when former players come up against us ! We have only kept 1 'Clean sheet' in the last 12 games, our main (And only) striker has scored 2 goals all season and with our depth of squad, any injuries could prove more than decisive.We are NOT in a good place at all.

That isn't analysis, that's you guessing on the results in a league finish predictor, and possibly fudging it so you get your relegation or not taking into account teams do get a win when they're playing okay rather than LLLLL.

I wouldn't be surprised if Murray did score against us and perhpas many others won't be surprised either.One can argue about "Balance of probablities" etc etc. At the end of the day supporters make judgements based on an array of factors and in my judgement we will get relegated. Quite. Willo neatly forgetting that I provided the stats that we've not lost to any team currently in the bottom 10 since we played Southampton in September. The likelihood that we'll lose to all 4 we play between now and the end of the season goes against not only one-off probability given our relative league positions, it goes against the form book. Add in the fact that if you went for a reasonably likely return for us of 5 points from these 5 games (if you ignore the first 7 games and/or the games against top 6 we average a lot more than a point a game), you'd have to then predict Huddersfield also getting 5 points (avoiding defeat in at least 2 difficult games and winning at least 1), Swansea getting 5 points, Southampton getting 7 points (at least 3 positive results) and/or Stoke getting 8 points (3 or 4 positive results). You're then getting in to the territory of your analysis being based on hunches rather than anything else. Which is fine, but in that case just admit it and don't pretend it's where the evidence leads.
