Well - this mornings news is that he is happy at ~Palace and doesn't intend to leave.
Unless something very strange happens I see him at Palace next season for sure - after that we see what happens.
Him staying plus one or two other class players will allow us to get some talent in and move forwards.
To be fair - they way we have played recently with a full squad we can beat most bar the top six (they can beat us as well of course)so slowly , slowly for now.

I would understand an agreement that if we qualify Europe next season, all will be well. However if we do not succeed, Wilf will go.
He has to have some ambition.

If thatís what you think, then you clearly donít rate him half as much as some of us do. I genuinely think heís good enough to be a champions league player. Whether we wanna admit it or not, thatís where the best players play. Had it not been for awful development heíd of been playing it a long time ago regularly. His natural ability has always been sensational.

I donít think heís going, which Iím delighted about. I think he wants one more season to try and take his game one step further. Certainly risky when some of the most attacking & free flowing clubs in the country are supposedly desperate to sign him and a lot can happen in a year, but you wonít hear me complaining about it.

I just personally find it quite ironic that some Palace fans claim to worship him down to the ground but simultaneously doubt he has what it takes to play for a top club. If itís simply a case of desperately wanting him to stay then I think weíre all in the same boat, but thatís all it is, none of this looking out for his best interests BS. Remember quite a few doubting him in his first few seasons back at Palace and even saying Bolasie was a better player, so this unconditional love from all quarters has only come through him proving just how good he is & the notion that he can only achieve something in a team that so far has done nothing but survive in the Premier League because elsewhere he wonít be loved is quite frankly an insult to Wilf, in my opinion.

I donít want him to go. Iíd love him to retire here but ultimately, whatever happens, itís upto him. And I donít think anyone should begrudge any choice he makes this summer or summers in the future.

Comes June 2022 you are absolutely right, up till then the club has a big say in it as he has a (massive) contract here.
And further more: there will be speculation, links, fantasies and all sorts spouted in the next few months but lets not take it all too serious.

I wasn't negative about our chances early on this season even when we went 7 games without a goal or a point. My mindset was there was plenty of time to go to turnaround our fortunes.A fellow supporter I met in a 'Local' said we would be relegated by Christmas and I told him he was talking total and utter drivel !

I was filled with dread with all our horrific injuries, the spate of games against the top teams etc etc, a period when we went 7 games without a win and saw us slip down the table, the players on the bench, the fear of further injuries etc etc.Yes I was deeply concerned about our propects hence my negativity.I went through real angst I can assure you.

I never had us as going down before the season started but my view changed later on.

Willo - you've been on here with your doom and gloom comments of us going down since forever, so I find this very difficult to believe..!!

If you ever had that inner belief you've never posted it on here..!!

Even now you're telling us if we lose Zaha - we'll go down next season and this season only finished yesterday.

Seriously give it a rest - it's all getting rather boring.

well he sure as hell won't get £120k a week at Spurs, don't think Kane's on that much & if he tries to force a move who's gonna want to pay that wage & our sale price on top !!!

Kane will get a new contract very quickly after the WC

Let's see SP and the board trying to line up for a piss in the AW toilets at half time before peddling the new stand. We're the Arthur over here and the facilities are a disgrace

Just cos he hasnít signed the contract doesnít mean heís gonna force a move..

But as for who would pay that wage and his transfer fee...? Take your pick from Liverpool and City Iíd imagine wouldnít blink at it.

If this is true its because of our apparent lack of ambition with no new players on the horizon. Probably got wind of Ed Aarons tweet that we have no money so possibly another season of struggle. Roy possibly revving his car up and no more firefighter bosses out there
