He is off sometime soon - we know that now deep down don't we.
I agree that if he leaves late in this window it will be really bad business for us as there will be no time to get a replacement of any sort and you just know that we will go off and buy some donkey's to try and keep the fans happy and so our woes will continue.
SP has to put a time limit on this as I and others have already said.
The right money by close of business this Friday or fork off!
Even that is not long for us to do sensible business to be honest.
Or he agrees a deal with someone but stays until Janauary or the start of next season.
I am resigned to him leaving and like Brexit i just want to see the saga over once and for all!

Poor old Wilf. A few months ago his dream was to play in the Champions League. Then his dream was to play for Arsenal in the Europa League. Now his new dream is going to have to be the battle for 7th.

My guess, and it is only a guess, is Everton will bid big bucks for Wilf and Luka, maybe 90 million plus, any carthorse. they have plenty of money, just sold Gueye and Lookman for 60 million.

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn

Bottom of the league with loads of money in the bank relying on Jordan Ayew to do well in the championship the following season.

Wilf wont move to Everton, its not proper progression. Yala did that and look what happened.. he was playing in the championship last season.
Arsenal are the real danger in terms of Wilf, Everton are simply being used to inject some urgency into the proceedings.
Luka concerns me as we've let his contract run right down with no talk of him re-signing.
An announcement from the club stating hes signed a new 3 year deal would go down very well right now.

I'd tell him to get back to work or have his pay suspended.

HE HAS FOUR YEARS ON HIS CONTRACT.

Whilst I agree we should not be selling him for anything less than what we want, he could quite conceivably turn up for practice, start in games but put in minimal effort and fulfill his contractual obligations.

There is a fine line between sticking to your principles and cutting your nose of to spite your face.

I have no idea if half the rubbish you read is true and therefore, if he is demanding a move and his mindset. If he has made it clear he wants to go and there is a hint of him being disruptive both within the squad and on the field, then the club has to do whats best and get the most amount of money possible.

Not sure we should let both AWB and Zaha go in the same window and if there was an inkling Zaha was going to demand a move, AWB transfer should have been blocked. The cost to the club of an unhappy AWB on £10k a week or an unhappy Wilf on £130k a week is no comparison.

Unless there's some kind of domino effect started by a mega-transfer (Neymar? Pogba?) which starts filling various clubs' coffers with large sums of cash, surely the sort of club with £80m to spend on one player would be the kind of efficiently-run club that would have got a deal of this size done and dusted weeks ago?

Ask me about Ronald de Boer.

That's not exactly true is it? Bolasie suffered a potentially career ending injury that kept him out of the game for a year so Everton had to replace him and Bolasie needed match practice when he was fit again.

It's not unlike Glen Murray being sent out to a Championship club to regain his sharpness after suffering a similar injury

Be nice to hear from Wilf either way, this annual merry-go-round causes ill feelings, all we've heard so far is press talk & a statement from a fake brother.

Wilf doesn't have the answers though. He could say he's going nowhere and then a £100m bid comes in, with an attractive contract offer and he's gone. Similarly, he can't come out and say he wants to go to Arsenal for example, they bid a pittance and it doesn't happen. He'd be under scrutiny for the rest of this season. We just have to let this play out and trust the judgment of Parish, unfortunately.

Thing is, what would we want to hear him say exactly?

I suppose the best thing would be that he doesn't want to leave no matter who comes in for him, but if I heard him say that I wouldn't know what to recommend first, a lie detector test or a psychological assessment.

Of course he wants to go. Why on earth wouldn't he?
