Going to be the hottest one ever possibly, too hot for fancy dress even!

You just know plenty of people will do it anyway, and then give interviews to TV saying how hot they are.

Good job that Scottish bloke can't run in this one too this year after his Commonwealth incidents.

I'm running it Sunday(NOT in fancy dress!). My first ever marathon. Wish me luck! I'm not a young fella any more.

I'll take this ideal opportunity to add a link to my sponsorship page should anyone want to donate.

[Link]

I'm running for JDRF, the Type 1 Diabetes charity. My step daughter was diagnosed aged 15, and she now has a lifelong regime of blood testing 4,5,6 or sometimes more times a day, along with a minimum 4 insulin injections per day. It's a case of constant monitoring, it can take over your life if you allow it. Have to adapt to it and take it seriously.

I've had a very generous donation from a member on here whose son was recently diagnosed. Most new diagnoses are in children or younger people, and for no apparent reason. One day you're fine, the next you've got a lifelong condition.

Anyway, I'm raising funds in the hope that one day there will be a prevention or a cure possible.

Thanks for reading! Phew, its going to be a hot one!

(If anyone fancies tracking me online, my number is 41086)

Good luck to you guys running on Sunday, I've ran it twice and it's a great day out. Soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the post race beers.

Best of luck to both of you running it. I'd invest in an ice vest if I were you!
