Wow that's gone quick. You're correct, the site really hasn't been the same. There will never be another staffie.

Shhhhhh! Don't tell, but every matchday when I go into the chat room, first thing I type is 'hi staffie'...... guess old habits die hard, and I am rather fond of this one.....

The match after he died, someone at the front of block D in the Holmesdale held up a RIP staffie sign, which I thought was a nice touch. Gone but not forgotten.

never met him but had lots of communication via mp3 thread, always tried to help in finding obscure music, now and again could be a bit tetchy but always ended up trumps, my iPod is 75% staffies downloads. Remember his last post after he put up links for streams v west brom " better go now getting pains in the chest " Gone but not forgotten, sure he is still watching from upstairs, R.I.P staffie

The fact the MP3 thread is still going, softens the blow for a lot of HOLers (thanks Mr A) most of my MP3 files were downloads from staffie's posts.

staffie won't be remembered for four, nor five years - he'll be remembered for a generation or more. And if today's newbies come across his name, remember, he was central to HOL, and has not been replaced, nor will he be for a very long time.
