Leaving Arsenal at the end of the season.

Shame.

Yup shame for all those who like to see Arsenal flounder. Despite having the most expensive tickets they are a club that just quite doesn't make it each season. Failure I can handle its the hope that kills you and Arsenal fans must be dying by the bucket load.

On a serious note he was a great manager that overstayed his welcome. For a club the size of Arsenal the occasional cup win is simply not good enough. They are one of the giants of Europe and should be realistically challenging for the major trophies every year.

One of the best managers the Prem has seen.

Has gone downhill last few seasons but they have still won more than Spurs. I think it's needed now tho as Arsenal need some new players and fresh ideas.

Good luck to him in wherever he goes next.

To be honest I'm not surprised.

All those empty seats at the 'Emirates' might have been the tipping point.
But he can leave with his head held high.
3 League Championships, 7 FA Cups and 7 Community Shields.

There will now be rampant speculation regards his successor.

Doesn’t surprise me. Arsenal peaked during the Invincibles Era and it’s been all downhill when they left Highbury - which at least had atmosphere and wasn’t a soulless superbowl stadium.

"Look at that. Accident blackspot? These aren't accidents! They're throwing themselves into the road gladly! Throwing themselves into the road to escape all this hideousness!"

be interesting to see who takes over, one of the top jobs in world football and whether Arsenal have a big transitional period for a few years.

I will miss ArsenalfanTV , compulsory viewing

Brilliant manager, just a shame he didn't leave earlier, not sure why wanted to drag it out longer when it seemed like he lost his desire in recent seasons

Should have left two or three seasons ago when we would have walked into another top job, should he have wanted one.

The problems at Arse are not all down to him. Fleece fans for £1000 season tickets and they are bound to expect at least to be competing.

Perhaps Conti would consider a move across London?

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

I hope there is a succession plan in place and he enjoys a dignified exit. Clearly a good man.

I bet Pardew is sorting his CV out as we speak, I'm sure that in his own mind he thinks he's in with a chance.

All those banners with clocks and rants on arsenal fan TV did nothing for years.

As soon as fans stop turning up something was done after a couple of matches.
