Talked better than he could box

Great Cruiser weight career but ultimately disappointing heavyweight

I am not surprised. When he was world champion he get telling the media he would only fight a couple more times.

After he lost to Klitschko it was assumed he was retired. He came back after problems in his personal life and most of us thought he's just fighting for the money.

It's a shame that a great career tailed off to soon. I followed him from early on and went to many of his fights. At one time it looked like he was going to be a legend but he was overtaken very quickly by the bigger men. The heavyweight division is very competitive at the moment with lots of good British fighters.

Haye will certainly have his place in British Boxing history but for me with tinged with a touch of what if.

I had the misfortune of going to the Haye Vs Harrison fight years ago, had great seats until the seat directly in front of mine was filled by Chris Smalling.

Almost had to stand on my chair to see any of the fight.

I thought he had retired before his last fight

He knew he was crocked before the last fight.
He has quit because he knows the public won't fall for it again.

I still can't believe how many embarrassing fights Audley Harrison had.

Genuinely great cruiserweight, made a lot of money using that Roy Jones like style that Adam Booth liked.

Same.

You’ve got to be exceptional to retire for a long time and return to the same level.

Audley was a joke but if the money's on the table any boxer will keep going, unless you're very good, made your money in the ring and can pick and choose your fights.

I think he also signed a big 10 fight deal with the BBC if i'm not mistaken. What a waste of public money

He prob had a rematch clause and would have pulled out through injury but he's done it so many times people are sick of him, he clearly wasn't well prepared for that last fight so his only option was to take the purse and hang up his gloves.

I'm not sure you could say becoming a world champion is ultimately disappointing as a heavyweight, but his retirement was long overdue.

He might've been better off if he wasn't faffing around promoting himself instead of getting an actual promoter to do that for him.

A million pound, for someone who'd never had a pro fight.

There's never been a heavyweight boxer before or since that was as afraid of getting punched as Fraudley was.

Can he honestly be given credibility for winning on points against that lump Valuev?

Totally outboxed by Klitschko then went on to beat bums like Chisora and Harrison, ducked Fury

Talked the talked but didn't walk the walk
