It would make sense to allocate a 'block' (wherever that may be) and clearly advise those wishing to buy tickets, season or general admission, in it that its a singing area...forewarned forearmed and all that. As to how the club would go about releasing the tickets, I guess it'd make sense to offer them to existing seat holders in those areas to then express a preference, before then opening them up to those in the current HF block, before then opening any left up to everyone else.

Ticket price for Whitehorse lane increased to cover the loss of approx 550 seats due to segregation requirements and possible policing costs - or club can swallow this cost. Solves the Family section abuse issue from visiting fans. No ground improvements required at present, could be implemented next season if the consultation started now. If in the future there was then a 'safe standing' trial planned it would be easier to convert Whitehorse to Safe standing and there would be no objection from the incumbents as no other area affected and the 'singing section' would normally stand anyway. Segregation area won't appear much on TV - singing section will get high profile - attracting more attention / would-be singers

I think they see even those not into singing much would add to the central blocks in the lower Holmesdale so those moments when everyone is singing Roy’s name would be more frequent across the whole lower.

First All season ticket holders should be asked if they want a "singing" section and also would they be interested in having a season ticket in that area If the majority do not want it the idea is dead and the HF need to accept that. Assuming there is a majority in favour then club can look at where is best location as they will also have an indication of numbers who would take it up. The HF survey is open so anyone or any group can currently influence it so in reality there is no accurate indication of interest. The HF ultra image also does not help many who may be interested in being part of a singing section would not wish to be considered ultras. I therefore feel that the HF's current stated position and a singing section are not the same thing. The HF number around 100 and they have said they could swell that to 200 ish for a singing section to take over a single block you need many more than that

How do you get feedback from all relevant ST holders ? Internet, post, ? what about those on holiday ? This is why it has to be done properly (however long that takes), and not in some bodged half-@r5ed manner. And will the HF be in Block B for Noocastle ?

A consultation via direct mail, business reply envelope with bar coded validation and auto data extraction from a well designed reply form to get the result would cost in the region of £5K. Looking to mail only those Season ticket holders affected by seat position - not all the ST holders as moving seats doesn't affect them and these could skew the true results. Very difficult to forge results as what goes out validates against what comes back. Could do it via a web page but that cuts out those who don't use the web so wouldn't be treating each supporter fairly. if you don't reply then you are obviously not that bothered. Set a 30 day reply window and you would have your result for this option. Over 50% and the majority carries. Less than 50% and option binned. Parish could surely get someone at TAG or Oliver Marketing to put together a decent mail pack for the supporters consultation proposal. Start now and you would have your answer before xmas.

This singing section you refer to, no idea where it will be. More consideration is needed as to the criteria to enter.

have I missed something here; but why couldn't the HF stayed where they were and just moved when the new stand was ready? Can't really expect people to give up their ST's. the argument for better atmosphere is flawed as they've just moved without having a plan in place so we're now worse off for atmosphere.
